•Provide technical management for all phases of a project including, but not limited to, scope development, proposal reviews, hours estimates, design, engineering specifications, materials procurement, route selection, permitting, construction/constructability assessment, and calculations.
•Conduct site visits and sub-contractor plan reviews, attending technical/progress review meetings as required.
•Coordinate with project managers and project staff to conduct QA/QC reviews and ensure consistency/adherence to client/MRS/industry standards in execution of project management activities. Under the guidance of the Engineering Manager and HR, provide leadership, training, development, annual appraisal, and supervision of divisional employees.
•Conduct economic and technical feasibility assessments, investigating various alternatives, and making recommendations on course of action.
•Stay informed of industry issues and technical trends.
•Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
•Ability to convey technical concepts in a clear and concise manner with project team members.
•Ability to communicate effectively, both written and orally, with project team, management, staff, and clients/stakeholders.
•Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
•Ability to research, understand, interpret, and seek regulatory agency guidance for industry appropriate laws, rules, regulations, and similar legal requirements.
•Familiarity with CAD, GIS software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, etc.), and relative concepts.
•Ability to perform assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision.
•Ability to travel and work extended hours for project assignments and meetings.
Education and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a four-year college or university (Civil or Mechanical is preferred);or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Seasoned experience in one or more of the following: modeling, HDD design, M&R design, linear transmission/distribution with up to 25% field work, MAOP, and permitting.
•Professional Engineer (PE) license
