Hendrick Medical Center has received the American Heart Association's Mission: Lifeline®Bronze Receiving Quality Achievement Award. The award recognizes Hendrick's commitment and success in implementing a high standard of care for heart attack patients.
Hendrick Medical Center has also achieved the Pathway to Excellence designation for the fourth time from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a subsidiary of the American Nurses Association (ANA). The Pathway to Excellence designation recognizes the essential elements of an ideal nursing practice environment where nurses can flourish.
For 90 years, the Medical Center has been the first name in healthcare in Abilene, Texas, and the Texas Midwest. Medical Center is licensed for 564 beds, and the family of services includes a women’s center, rehabilitation hospital, cancer center, hospice center, NICU and numerous other innovative services.

Medical Center is one of seven healthcare institutions affiliated with the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
