UC Berkeley IT is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer to join the Identity and Access Management team. The successful candidate for this exciting position will get the opportunity to work with a variety technologies including directory services, single sign-on, federated identity management, data integration from upstream authoritative sources and user facing web applications.
This is a senior role for an ambitious technologist that is not afraid to explore new tools and processes. The incumbent researches, conceptualizes, plans and implements complete and integrated identity management technical solutions for the UC Berkeley campus.
•Expert-level knowledge of system and applications design and implementation.
•Solid understanding of and preferably experience managing LDAP directory services
•Substantial experience with *NIX systems, particularly Redhat Enterprise Linux.
•Familiarity with web servers (especially Apache/Tomcat), load balancers, firewalls, DNS.
•Familiarity with messaging technologies, DB platforms , and Web Services
•Experience developing and maintaining secure web applications.
•Must be able to communicate technical information in a clear and concise manner across the organization and at varying levels.
•Ability to produce clearly written technical documentation.
•Bachelors degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training
